Claiming the Medicare rebate
With a Mental Health Treatment Plan and a referral from your GP, you can claim a Medicare rebate for up to 10 individual sessions each calendar year.
bulk billing
A limited number of bulk-billed appointments are available for people experiencing financial hardship, at the practice's discretion and subject to availability. Please ask at time of booking.
cancellation & missed appointments
Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice incur a $110 fee, and missed appointments without notice are charged the full $220 fee.
Medicare doesn't provide rebates for these fees. For NDIS, DVA and WorkCover clients, cancellations are handled according to each scheme's rules.
other funding options
DVA: No out-of-pocket cost for Gold and White Card holders. The practice bills DVA directly.
NDIS: Available to self-managed and plan-managed participants. Sessions are charged at the practice's standard rate, within NDIS price limits. Report writing and other non-face-to-face work for NDIS is charged at the same hourly rate, and will always be discussed with you first.
WorkCover QLD: Fees for approved services are paid directly by the insurer. Early psychological support may also be covered while a psychological injury claim is being decided.
Private health: Rebates depend on your extras cover, so check with your fund. You can claim Medicare or private health for a session, but not both.
Other third-party insurance: Please check with the practice before booking.
